Stella Turner
I am a self-taught artist and have been painting and selling my work for over 25 years. I was born in Glasgow and have lived in various parts of central Scotland including Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Stenhousemuir and Dollar before moving to the village of Freuchie in Fife in 1984.
Having begun painting in oils, I now tend to specialise in watercolours and acrylics. Previous subjects have included flowers, animals and still life subjects but my particular love is landscape painting, largely inspired by the spectacular beauty of the Scottish countryside.
My work has been regularly exhibited locally in venues in Fife as well as in Edinburgh, Kirkcaldy, Glasgow, Perth and Dunkeld.
I am a member of Glenrothes Art Club as well as Cupar Art Club, both of which are long-established societies of talented artists, and I exhibit regularly in their annual exhibitions (September and October respectively).
In the early days, purchasers used to tell me they could now claim to own a Turner original and so I thought it very appropriate to adopt 'Turner Originals' as a business name. Recently, in addition to originals, I now offer prints of new paintings which will give purchasers a wider price range for my work.
Many people are now owners of 'Turner Originals' and my paintings can be found all over the UK and as far afield as France, Germany, USA, Canada and Australia. I have received many letters from delighted purchasers and recipients of my paintings and I am always pleased when they return for more.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you wish to visit and view my work or if you wish to commission your own individual painting of a favourite place.
I hope you enjoy my artwork.
Stella
